Criminal Defense
Criminal charges range from minor crimes (misdemeanors), to more serious offenses (gross misdemeanors), and of course very serious felonies. Whatever it is you've been accused of, my mission is to make certain we're doing everything possible pre-trial to put you in the best position to either fight your case in front of a jury, or negotiate the best deal available.
I offer flat rate fees for pre-trial representation, with the amount depending on the nature and complexity of the case. I also offer post-plea/conviction representation to determine if you have grounds for an appeal, or if you can get your old conviction vacated.
DUIs
Although a DUI is a criminal offense (either a gross misdemeanor or a felony, depending on the circumstances), they are their own unique type of case that require a different approach than other criminal charges. I've been fortunate enough to have studied under some of the best practicing DUI attorneys in the area, and have successfully handled many on my own.

Traffic Infractions
This includes everything you get a ticket for. Some of these go on your driving record, and can have a big impact on how much you pay for insurance, or even result in a license suspension, if you ignore the ticket long enough.
These are some of my favorite cases, because they can almost always be won, and there's no additional penalty if you lose in court. So there's really no reason NOT to fight it!
Family Law
It's never pleasent dealing with legal matters between family, especially when kids are involved. Sometimes the hurt feelings can make it hard to approach the legal issues in a way that at least tries to preserve a good working relationship between parents for the sake of the kids. Other times, the issues are so glaring that a calmer approach is either impossible or impractical. And sometimes, the matter is so straightforward that you just don't need a lawyer getting involved.
I can help you determine which approach is best, and I'm not afraid to tell you if you don't actually need my services.
Civil Litigation
This category covers just about everything else. Personal injury, landlord/tenant disputes, construction defects and contractor negligence, and Consumer Protection Act claims are just a few of the kinds of cases I've handled.
